From Obscurity to Majesty

Plot: Concubine Xu Yue Tao wants to escape her family's control by failing the imperial selection, but due to misinformation from her fiancé Zhu Cheng Jin, she is selected. After entering the palace, she is repeatedly pursued by her legitimate wife Xu Yu Rrong and the noble consort, even being forced to eat with the eunuchs. In desperation, Yue Tao receives help from the eunuch Jing Hong Zhui. With her looks and intelligence reminiscent of the emperor's former flame, Yue Tao gradually gains favor and is promoted to noble consort.
