The Maria who became Callas

Plot: The series chronicles the transformation of the young Maria Callas from an ugly duckling to the greatest diva of all time, during the Occupation in Athens. We follow Maria through her relationship with the key figures in her young life: her mother, her Spanish teacher, her baritone lover, her pianist sister, the German conductor. However, each of them, impressed by her talent, has other plans for Maria.
