Le Portrait de Mireille

Plot: A talented painter spends his vacation in Arles, where he paints a portrait of a beautiful Arlesian woman with whom he falls in love. The young girl is engaged to a very jealous guard of the Camargue. Upon learning of this long-standing affair, the painter gives up on continuing his romance and is content to create a masterpiece that will brighten his entire life.
