Plot: Alexander has made a film about the lingo in the concrete suburb where he grew up. Unhealed wounds are torn open and the film creates a conflict among formerly tight childhood friends. We Were Kids is a poetically throbbing emotional discharge about concrete suburbs, macho culture, and words that kill.
