In the Storm of Passion

Plot: Christos and Maria, a couple living in poverty, hope for a better future. However, their love will be tested by the harsh reality and poverty that plagues them. When Christos loses his job, he abandons Maria for a wealthy woman. His life is filled with riches and comforts, but he soon realizes that his happiness lies with Maria. He searches for her and finds her at the home of Lola, a prostitute who has taken the unfortunate girl in. Their plans to claim their happiness are overturned once and for all when Lola's protectors rape Maria, who dies shortly afterwards in hospital. Christos takes his own life and Lola kills the man responsible for the girl's death.
