Plot: The dissolute Count Pierre Tornai, having dissipated his fortune in Paris, embezzles embassy funds while intoxicated; and after spending his last penny on a dancer, he contemplates suicide but is persuaded to enlist in the Foreign Legion. Based on the 1922 play Der Legionër by Lajos Biró.
