Ferdinando and Carolina

Plot: 1820s Naples: On his death bed, King Ferdinando I tries to escape the ghosts of his bloody kingship by recounting his youth, when he was allowed a life of frivolity. However, then he was obliged to marry Mary Caroline of Austria, daughter of Empress Mary Theresa, in a political convention: unexpectedly, they became happy lovers, until court power games divide them, and a life-changing historical season arrived.
