Courtroom Reaper: Chapter 1

Plot: Attorney Noboru Shigami (Hitoshi Ozawa), known by the nickname “The Courtroom Reaper,” once served as legal counsel to a yakuza organization. Now, together with his assistant Koji Toda (Sho Aoyagi), he runs the Harukaze Law Office. Shigami is asked by Seigo Kishi (Shinzo Hotta), the first chairman of the Kishi-gumi, to defend Shinya Narumi (Masataka Fujishige), the wakagashira of the second-generation Kishi-gumi, who is currently undergoing mediation. Heading to court underprepared, Shigami faces prosecutor Mika Akiyama (Nagiko Tsuji). During the proceedings, he senses something off about Narumi’s testimony. Meanwhile, Toda uncovers new information about the Kishi-gumi, prompting Shigami to dig deeper into the truth behind the case.
