The Australian Ballet: The Merry Widow

Plot: A production of 'The Merry Widow', recorded live in June 1993. The story follows Hanna Glawari who has been recently widowed and is seeking a new husband. She is one of the wealthiest women in Pontevedro and if she marries a foreigner Pontevedro will be left bankrupt...so the bureaucrats plot to ensure that Hanna marries a siutable national.
