Wladyslaw Starewicz

Plot: A study of the legendary Polish cinemagician, whose exquisite model animations include the featurette The Tale of the Fox (1931), in which a typical 3-minute sequence required up to a quarter of a million different puppet scenes. Providing a window on his working methods, this documentary includes extracts from Starewicz's films and interviews with his collaborators.
