Plot: A leaked animatic—an early, storyboard-driven version of the film Popeye, roughly 87 minutes long, featuring dialogue and music, but lacking final animation polish. Set off on a heartfelt and visually inventive quest: Popeye embarks on a mission to find his father. The narrative brims with the physical comedy and expressive movement characteristic of classic cartoons, animated in Genndy Tartakovsky’s signature style—but in loose, storyboard form.
