The Last Rose

Plot: Carlotta Valondi, an Italian opera singer, is the idol of her friends. Angelo, also a singer, asks her to marry him, but she clearly shows that she is bored with him. He rents a house in the country, next to the rectory where the young minister, John Converse, and his old maid sister, Matilda, live. John meets Carlotta and they become friends.
