Plot: After Victoria promises to marry a wealthy suitor able to provide desperately needed funds to save her father’s deteriorating property, Victoria’s self-worth plummets. Her loyalty and duty to her father drives her to repress her strong attraction to a lesser suitor, leaving him in a life of yearning for the unattainable Victoria.
