Pyotr Pavlensky

Biography: Pyotr (alt. Petr) Andreyevich Pavlensky (alt. Pawlenski/Pavlensky) is a Russian performance artist, activist, and publisher of the journal Political Propaganda. Known for his controversial political performance art, which he calls "actions", he is a significant figure in political activism, and his work often involves nudity and self-mutilation.
